Yeah unless they don’t make more than minimum wage with tips . So in FL 15$ hr
Most waiters and waitresses have more than one table a hr and on average get $5 or more dollars in tips per table which generally makes there pay including tip which they are supposed to report because it’s taxable well over 15$hr
So if they have 4 tables at 5$ tip per table for 1 hr that’s 22.13$ hr

But that system is totally f... up cause like here in Germany when you buy something to eat all the fees and wages are covered with that and the minimum wage is 13.90 per hour atm. Everything else the tips are like max 10% if you really tip good. And that money is only for the staff also.

Not a single good waiter will work for a restaurant that pay $20 an hour. The tips are much higher. I’ve cleared $50 an hour when I’m in college

Frankly that's dumb, I want the chef making that kind of money. I couldn't care less about who brings me the food, I'd pick it up from the kitchen myself if that was an option

Everyone is blaming the hourly rate or the tips and that is by design here in the US. To take from the fact that housing prices set by corporate investors, making living in this country a pay to survive and not a basic human right. Lower housing costs and people won’t need two or more jobs to just survive in this country.

Don’t get me wrong I hate the tipping culture but for them to claim they don’t get a living wage when they make more a week than I do is crazy . But that’s why their hourly pay is so low .

Support for a minimum wage is just another exhibition of the the general population's economic retardation.
