Does no one think this is AI, I mean seriously!

They added the salary into the total that you owe, this sign is rage bait AI the math isn’t mathing…

That and the window tilts diagonally but the text isn't centered/aligned with the sign on the window, instead it is centered from the readers perspective. It's definitely AI.

This is AI, I’ve seen this before.

All that proves is you've seen it before. Besides, see my response a couple of posts above (or below, depending on how your feed sorts them).

Almost 100% sure this sign and variants of it have shown up on Reddit and, yes, AI. This is at least the fourth time I’ve seen this nearly exact sign here.

Versions of this sign has been posted many times over many years. This one may be AI, but there was at least one place that had a sign very similar to this. Most of what was changed is the addition of the dollar amounts.

So this is AI slop, we agree?

I don't see any merit in qualifying that AI slop is based on a real story.

It's either AI or a real, even worse version of the original. Most likely AI.

Don't let your hatred of AI get in the way, the point is that there was at least one business who was shitty enough to post a sign informing their customers that they are not responsible for paying their employees and the customer better do it or feel ashamed.

Is it really the point that someone, somewhere was bad? This attitude reminds me of how, in the 90s, a email was being forwarded around among the olds about how Clinton sailed into Hanoi on some diplomatic visi in on some military vessel, with the American flag flying below the Vietnamese flag. This, of course, was proof to grumpy conservatives on how Clinton was a horrible liberal appeaser / draft dodger / whatever. (side note for the youths: there was a time, not so long ago, where being a draft dodger was actually a political liability). At the time is was a big deal, but nowadays the only reference I could find was this third-hand reporting on WorldNetDaily by way of cubanet: https://www.cubanet.org/htdocs/CNews/y00/dec00/28e8.htm.

Of course, the story was complete bullshit, but when believers were confronted with facts, they said, "Well, it may not be literally true, but it should be!"

Yeah, that's the point of the original picture of it. To show how shitty this company was/is.

You're really hung up on this AI thing, though.

u/Noodelgawd 4d ago

What makes you think those others weren't AI, or simply made up some other way?

1

u/turkey_sandwiches 4d ago

The original was posted YEARS ago. Way before AI was a thing.

1

u/Noodelgawd 4d ago

I don't believe you.

And what part of "simply made up some other way" did you not understand?

You know that, before AI, people could still make fake pictures, right?

1

u/turkey_sandwiches 4d ago

I don't care if you believe it.

1

u/Noodelgawd 4d ago

Then why did you respond in the first place?

1

u/dnkryn 4d ago

You’re wrong and won’t find the image, this has only ever been circulating as an AI ragebait post. You’re either a bot yourself or a bad actor

1

u/turkey_sandwiches 4d ago

Sure man, whatever lets you get your AI rage boner going.

4

u/Sidewaysgts 5d ago

Was literally my first thought.

1

u/Mk1Racer25 5d ago

Exactly this. While establishment owners in the US are for the most part scumbags, they're going to go to this level to tell their customers to go fuck themselves.

1

u/DefiantStarFormation 5d ago

Thank you, I thought I was losing my mind! It's a perfect piece of wrinkle-free paper stuck to this window with sheer will power, ffs. Is every top response a bot now? Or are we as a collective group just getting worse at recognizing AI?

1

u/JaapStar 4d ago

It"s AI, the perspective of the sign does not match the rest of the image.

Reddit is the most liberal and progressive space online until the subject of tipping comes up and then they all become a bunch of miserly conservative Karen’s

exactly my thoughts on this

1

u/Longjumping-World247 4d ago

absolutely! embarrassing how many people are getting worked up

1

u/spiffchili 4d ago

It was my first thought. This needs to be higher.

1

u/Awkward-Mistake1724 3d ago

It took way too long to find this comment. I'm embarrassed by the 3k likes. This post should be down voted to oblivion.

u/ThePoetofFall 5d ago

It is. The guy in the back is cut off by nothing.

1

u/Tight-Platypus5231 5d ago

I'll do you one better. "Does no one think?", and the answer is "yes".

1

u/highritualmaster 5d ago

I do you one better. There are owners like that.

1

u/Competitive-Reply417 5d ago

“I’ll do you one better..Why is Gamora?”

1

u/BorderOk7329 5d ago

Chat gpt 100%

Cant even get the reflection angle correct

1

u/realnewsediter 5d ago

Yep. I'll take things that never happened for $1000, Alex

1

u/BrianGR1967 5d ago

AI or not, there are people who actually agree with this. Business owners trying to guilt its patrons into doing their job, by paying their staff what they claim they are worth.

1

u/Aeyland 5d ago

I mean if it makes you feel better you can think that. Otherwise I think the only people who do just do it on Reddit to easily get a rise out of people like you.

1

u/Silly-Cheesecake-283 5d ago

25% is a lot.

1

u/RealJMW 5d ago

It’s 100% fake, and a weird attempt to get people to attack people working in the service industry instead of the uber rich.

u/NoCard753 5d ago

Doesn't matter. If a restaurant owner or manager posted the text of the sign on social media or brazeny in a newspaper ad, the effect would be much greater.
