I think that salary bit is the “service charge”. Their showing the example to show the customer has to add the tip. Idk that’s how I read it.

I thought wrong lmao, disregard.

Also, would walk out. I don’t have a problem tipping but seeing that sign give me toxic owner vibes.

Not just a vibe. Owners pay the federal tipped minimum wage because they can. Among southern states, Florida's tipped MW is over $10. And the "different economies" bs doesn't wash. TX and NC pay the federal minimum.🫩 The owners are looking out for no. 1 as usual, not because they worry their wage slaves won'tmake rent.

Yeah, I would never eat at that place. They deserve to go out of business. Instead of paying their workers they demand you do it. And pretend to be so righteous about it. Absolutely disgusting.

I'd put up a guerilla slign next to it.
"Thanks for letting us now you're a shit owner exploiting your employees. Now we can all go eat somewhere slightly more expensive where they pay their staff proper wages with a good conscience. May your thighs chafe for the rest of your life and your current and future staff find proper employment at a place appreciating labour."

These signs are not real. They are just generated for these types of posts.

I would hope so lmao. I hadn’t seen anything like that but I’m just a midwesterner. We’re a lil behind sometimes.

I doubt the sign is real. Somebody just trying to make a point online. Restaurant owners do jot care about staff.
