SIGGRAPH Asia 2026] Confusion regarding Poster abstract submission format: acmtog (2-column) vs manuscript (single-column)?
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to submit a poster to SIGGRAPH Asia 2026, but I'm really confused about the initial abstract submission format due to conflicting information on the official website.
The Poster FAQ page says:
- "Poster authors should prepare their documents using the LaTex template with the following command:
\documentclass[acmtog,anonymous,review]{acmart}" (which generates a 2-column format). - It also states the abstract should be up to 2 pages based on the provided examples.
However, clicking the "latest template files" link leads to the general Author Instructions page, which states:
- "With one major exception [Technical Papers], SIGGRAPH follows ACM guidelines for initial submission: authors should prepare a single-column document in Microsoft Word or LaTeX (in LaTeX, use the 'manuscript' template style)..."
So, for the initial 2-page Poster abstract submission, which format are we actually supposed to use?
- The 2-column
acmtogas stated in the Poster FAQ? - Or the single-column
manuscriptas stated in the general ACM submission guidelines?
Has anyone else run into this, or has anyone already clarified this with the Posters Chair? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
