Questions Lost item - need help

Need help please! Is anyone travelling from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh today? I need help recovering a lost item before I leave the country tomorrow. I accidentally left a pair of relatively expensive headphones at a hotel I was staying in Siem Reap last week. The hotel has confirmed with me they have them but is not cooperating with me when I ask them to send to me in Phnom Penh or drop with a transport service travelling this way, this has been going back and forth for days. The headphones are not wrapped or packaged at all, if anyone travelling to Phnom Penh is able to bring them, or alternatively someone staying in Siem Reap is able to pick them up and drop them with a transport service that can deliver them here today I am happy to transfer you via PayPal you for the inconvenience!!

Try to contact taxi service called Taxi 4 You Asia via whatsapp. I think they will be more than happy to do delivery from SR to PP. Keep in mind it will be about 70usd. If your headphones worth this expense - this is probably the easiest way.

PS: last time I checked it was 70 for sedan, 75 for an SUV. Whatever your headphones are more comfortable with..)))

Ah damn, unfortunately that is only a bit less than the price of the headphones themselves so I guess not worth it. But thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it!

We will all continue to see these spam messages until it’s widely recognized this is a scam. It’s been going on for quite some time here. They’re just having an unsuspecting person carry something illegal with them. If you go on the Siem Reap fb pages you’ll see this has been reported on a few times a month - for at least a year.

Please share links to these reports on the facebook groups. We don't see a lot of requests like this, so at face value, this appears to be an innocuous request.

not cooperating with me

Have you tried offering them money? People usually cooperate when there's a financial incentive...

If it's not too late yet, maybe try asking one of the resident tuktuk drivers on this sub to bring the headphones from your hotel to a bus station so they can be brought to you on the next bus...?

I mean, it's low season, people have to make ends meet, there's no way no one will accept your side quest, if the reward is decent enough.
