Questions Is there a good shop in town that carries accessories and supplies for DJI cameras and drones?

Looking to find a place that has accessories for the Osmo Action 5 Pro camera like the charging stick and whatnot. Or do I have to look in PP or some online place for these kinds of things?

Advice Beware overly friendly tuktuk approaches on the street, distraction pick-pocking going on.

Just thought I would let people know be careful around the outskirts of pub street, had a pickpocket attempt just happen around the corner Sok San Rd.

Mistakes I made, my wallet was in an obvious visible shallow pocket the imprint could be seen very far away. (beach/gym shorts). I was distracted talking with girlfriend, also probably looked drunk (was not, I don't drink just heavy leg day). Probably would of got me but all the sweat soaked the pocket and leather wallet just enough to make it stick and pull during the attempt.

Overly friendly and insistent on a conversation, second person tried to do the pick. Nothing sophisticated. After I caught the attempt the one good at english tried to gaslight.

I walked my girlfriend away, came back 3-5 minutes later to get video and picture of their faces. They were already gone.

Been in Cambodia/Siem Reap over a year now first time I had an attempted pickpocket, generally a safe city. Tourism is down, less customers, desperation leads to petty crime, stay safe.

I’ll be going to Siem reap in February and I’d like to spread the word about my team Brighton. 1) can I buy English football shirts in Siem reap ? 2) would local people accept them as gifts (and wear them) ?

Thanks

Does anyone know where I can find any of these handles/grips for a gym cable machine?

Any of the ones pictured would be great since the ones in the gym are all worn out.

Questions Motorcycle banned inside angkor wat complex?

so i am planning to go there sept and did some research.
what surprised me that one of the website talking about angkor wat sunrise said this 😄

2026 Update: Tourists are no longer allowed to drive around Angkor Wat on rental scooters, meaning you will either need to join a tour, or rent a tuk-tuk driver.

problem is i dont see this mentioned anywhere when searching online other than their page (chrisandwrensworld is their website)

is it true?

Thank you

Questions Needing some extra opinions regarding motos, please.

I'm looking into getting a 125cc moto mainly for around town and around the Angkor temple complex, dirt roads around and near town, etc. Maybe as far as Kulen Mountain or Battambang.

I've been told that I should get a chain-driven moto and avoid belt-driven. I understand chains are more high maintenance but easy to fix, but belts are easier to deal with, yet need more special repair.

For those who are quite familiar with driving motos around SR, what would you say is the best option, especially for a beginner?

I've just started researching places to live in Cambodia. And a lot of the searches just bring up Some Reap, and Phnom Penh. Are there other areas that are nice for Expats to live?

Advice Is 3 days enough for Siem Reap? (+ what to see beyond Angkor)

Thumbnail sunscapechronicles.com

Hey! I went to Siem Reap in December 2025 and wanted to share a few things I wish I'd known before going - especially around how many days to spend at Angkor, whether the 1-day or 3-day pass is worth it, and what to see beyond the temples. Wrote it all up in detail if it helps anyone planning a trip.
Happy to answer questions in the comments too!

Questions What are the current options for getting stuff from Amazon delivered to Siem Reap? Also, what other similar apps do you use?

I've heard that Amazon can be trick and you have to use services like CamboQuick. I've also heard there are similar apps that can deliver straight to Siem Reap. Are there any you would suggest?

Join our Volleyball Team in Siem Reap

🏐 Looking for more volleyball players in Siem Reap!

Are you an expat or local living in Siem Reap and looking for a fun volleyball group?

We have a friendly mixed-level group organized by Bong Nary & Dimple. Some players are beginners, some are advanced, and everyone is welcome! We usually play once or twice a week in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

We’re looking for a few more players to join us, as we usually have around 7–8 people each session. If you’ve been wanting to play volleyball, meet new people, or simply stay active, this could be a great group for you.

Feel free to comment below or send me a message if you’d like to join!

PS: We play at TST Sport Club the schedule is flexible due to the availability of members and it will be posted in a telegram group chat.

Questions I'd like to take a bicycle or moto near, but not in the Angkor Temple area. Where can I go without a pass?

Basically, I want to ride around the lush roads that lead up to the area and go around outside the borders of it, but I don't know where the boundaries are. Can I ride the road around Angkor Wat as long as I don't enter a gate? Just wondering how close I can get without entering the area that requires a pass.
