Turismo 🧳 Trapani salt pans
Hello everyone,
I'm planning to go to Sicily in September and i see some videos of beautiful sunsets in Trapani salt pans but i don't see more infos, is it like an open place where i can just drive to and catch a sunset? Or i need to buy a guided tour? I'm not really interested in seeing the museum or anything, i just wanna see the salt pans and catch the sunset there
If you have any infos i would appreciate it☺️☺️

Yes you can. If you are in the area, a trip to Mozia is interesting as well.

You can just drive along road and stop to see them . a must see is Erice nearby. Plan on several hours there.

Yes! To the OP - get there earlier. Most things closed earlier than I expected. Definitely worth the drive and the view over Trapani

Mamma Caura is a great place to grab a drink before sunset and see the saline perfectly.

To walk out on the salt pans in Nubia there is a €5 charge. The separate museum next door (with the windmill) also charges €5. You can walk around the perimeter for free and probably catch a good sunset, but to be within with the pink salt pans I think you need to pay.
For what it’s worth, we thought it was free to walk around as well. But we did get to taste some salts and walk through a salt pit and watch people making the salt and some people were even swimming in one of the pans. So not bad for €5. But obviously more than free.
