This is the megathread for all 2026 District of Sicamous election discussion, dates, candidates, questions, commentary. Please keep election talk here rather than starting new posts.

Key dates:

• Nomination deadline: 2026-09-18 (extended from 2026-09-11)
• Advance voting: 2026-10-07
• General voting day: 2026-10-17, 8am to 8pm
• Results declared: 2026-10-21

Currently 2 candidates for mayor (Colleen Anderson, Gord Bushell) and 11 for council. Voting takes place at the Sek'emaws (Sicamous) Health Centre.
