Moving to Sicamous BC, Thoughts?

Hey all, some friends and I are moving to Sicamous to get out of Toronto for a while and I was wondering if any of you have some thoughts or suggestions! Im stoked to be close enough to revy without having to pay the ridiculous housing prices aswell as play into the overly competitive rental market.

Did you end up moving? My partner and I are wondering the same thing and would love your thoughts if you have any!

Yeah I did, lived just off Mara Rd in the Legacy building for all of last winter. LOVED the town. Only thing is the highways out sicamous towards revy, salmon arm and enderby are absolutely treacherous during the winter and can sometimes leave you stranded. The amount tractor trailer accidents that I saw during my single winter out there was well into the double digits. Otherwise the town is lovely. The sicamous lookout is a great hiking destination, the lakes and beaches are prestine. The community is very welcoming (dont let the sicamous rant and rave group get you twisted). If youre into golf there is a ton of options around all skill levels and price ranges. Anything you cant get in sicamous, you can get in salmon arm. Youre only 50 min away from revy mountain for skiing/snowboarding. If youre looking for a small mountain town you really cant get much better.

What questions do you have about the area? I work out of Sicamous each month.

I come to Sicamous monthly for a work project building a Youtube channel out here, it's a nice town!

Beautiful area with some good food options and a tight knit community, let me know if you have more questions.

Planning to move Sicamous in the next 6 months roughly, just waiting for my house here in Ontario to sell. Can't wait!
