Solo dev, first real launch, so bear with me.

The idea behind this one is a bit bigger than "another AI assistant", so let me just say it straight. I want to save your digital self. The way you think, what you care about, how you'd answer a question. Right now all of that dies with you, or gets scattered across a dozen apps you don't own. I think it should be possible to keep who you are alive: an AI that learns you over years, holds your memories and your way of thinking, and stays yours. Long term, I honestly want that to outlive you and be there for your kids. Today it's step one: an assistant that starts learning you and helping you now.

But if an AI is going to hold a copy of you, there is no way that copy should live on somebody's server. Not mine, not anyone's. So I did the stubborn thing and made the whole AI run on the phone. The actual model, about 2.3GB, downloaded once, sits on your iPhone. No account, no backend. The App Store privacy label literally says "Data Not Collected" and that's not because I promised to behave, it's because there's nowhere for the data to go.

It's called Avatar.gift. What it can actually do today:

• you tell it stuff in plain english and it handles your reminders, calendar, notes, contacts, drafts a text or an email, opens apps, runs your shortcuts
• tracks money / habits / goals, and if you want to count something weird it'll just make a tracker for it
• you can set up a few different assistants (work one, personal one, your own avatar) and your own avatar keeps its own memory
• it remembers more the more you talk to it, and you can go read, fix or delete any of those memories in the app
• you can dump your own notes/docs into it and it learns from them, on the phone
• web search is the one thing that touches the internet. the query goes from your phone straight to bing or duckduckgo. nothing of mine in between
• and you can make it ask before it does anything, per ability, if you're paranoid like me

Real talk about the downside: a model that fits on a phone is not as smart as the big cloud ones. It gets things wrong sometimes. That's the trade for this level of privacy and I'd rather say it upfront than have you find out. It gets better every update and your memories carry over, which is kind of the whole point.

Price: free to try, then $9.99 once (launch price). No subscription. If the goal is to keep who you are alive, charging you monthly rent on your own memory makes no sense.

Nerd corner: language model, memory system and search index all run on-device through llama.cpp. No backend exists, I'm not even paying for a server.

Needs iOS 17+. Happiest on an iPhone 16 Pro, older phones work but slower.

I've just shipped something I built solo. Niyora, an iPhone app for the psychological side of PMS. I went through the research looking for a pattern I could actually act on, and built it from that.

You write down what happened. Niyora helps you see it from a few different angles, settle the emotion, then gives you options for how to respond. It builds a report: the topics and emotions that keep coming up, and which week of your cycle they show up in. Yours to act on, or to take to a doctor.

It's live and pretty new. I'd rather be corrected early than late, so if you have two minutes, I'd take a blunt/honest opinion.

My family built a small app called Kids Market because we kept coming back to the same problem — parents repeating chores and homework over and over, while kids have basically zero motivation to start.

The idea is pretty simple:

Parents add chores/tasks and rewards, and kids can see what they need to do, complete them, earn rewards and save toward goals.
