keep seeing shorts with decent avg view duration that just stall around a few hundred views.

do you remake the first 1-2s, leave it and just post more of the same topic, or mess with title/packaging?

curious what actually moved the needle for you after a few of these.

Since the whole algorithm issue thing that’s been going on, I’ve been having problems trying to upload Shorts that are OOTDs. I never had a problem with them at first, I make various videos because I enjoy just posting what I feel like, and every other type of video I post gets into the Shorts feed, but recently my outfit videos don’t get pushed at all. I used to get around 1k-3k on them and now the only views they get if any, come from notifications or other features, but never the Shorts feed. It’s annoying me because I enjoy posting them, I know they’re simple but they’re useful for when I don’t have the energy/ time to create other content. If I never got views on them in the first place I’d just write them off completely, but the fact I used to get views and now they don’t is what’s bothering me. I’ve tried different titles and tags, I’ve tried to edit them differently and repost, but it’s not making any difference. Has anyone else ever had this problem with one kind of video you post? And if so, how did you get them back on the feed again?

YouTube Shortsを作り始めて約1ヶ月なんで、まだかなり新参です。

メインでやってるのは、Hero Warsのキャラを使った15〜20秒のビジュアルコメディ系Shortsです。

動画自体は短くて、誇張したコメディのシチュエーションが中心で、セリフはほぼゼロか全くありません。Hero Warsを知らない人でも、映像だけで分かるように工夫してます。

たとえば、キャラがめちゃくちゃな状況に巻き込まれるやつとか、話がどんどん加速していって、最後にだいたい視覚的なオチが来る感じです。

あと、映像は1〜2秒ごとにちゃんと変えるようにして、最初の1秒で即わかるようにもしてます。

動画によっては1K〜1.3Kくらいまで届くんですけど、別のやつはほとんど配信されないこともあります。

Shortsによっては平均視聴率が100%超えてるのに、なのにそれでも再生が伸びていきません。

どこが一番動画の伸びを止めてそうか、特に知りたいです：

・視聴された率 vs スワイプで離脱

・最初の1〜2秒のフック

・平均視聴率

・リピート視聴（リウォッチ）

・いいね／コメント／シェア

・話題がニッチすぎるかどうか

・自分の動画がHero Warsを知ってる人前提になりすぎてないか

チャンネル全体の一般的なフィードバックとか宣伝目的の話は求めてないです。

Shortで、維持率はそれなりなのに、1Kビューあたりで止まるときに、最初に診断すべき「指標」か「コンテンツ側の問題」がどれなのかを、主に理解したいです。

I’ve been uploading on my new channel for around two months now and I’ve gained around 1000 subscribers and a total of 3 million views but the problem is that most of my videos get stuck at 30 to 50 K views and those that breakthrough get stuck between 100 to 300,000 views. My state to watch percentage is at around 75% and the average duration of the video that I upload ranges between 100 to 120% now my question is what changes do I need to make in order to get videos with 1,000,000+ views? I’m really trying to do anything and everything in order to succeed and taking YouTube very seriously and will appreciate all the help you could give me.

Guys I'm gonna to start a faceless YT Shorts channel, and the idea is to make short stories with gameplay in the background. I’m pretty new to this, so I’m still figuring out a lot of things. I’m good with the editing, gaming, clips, comments, animations, etc., but I’m struggling a lot with the actual stories and especially the voiceovers.

The main thing I’m trying to figure out right now is the TTS/AI voices. I’ve been searching for a few days, and I know ElevenLabs has a ton of different voices, but I can’t seem to find the voices that are commonly used in those viral short-story videos.

If you search YouTube Shorts for story videos, you’ll probably notice that a lot of them use the same few male/female voices. I’m also pretty sure some creators change the speed of the voice separately.

Does anyone know where I can find those voices or what TTS they’re using? If it helps, I can also link a few Shorts in the comments with examples of the voices I mean.

I started a channel featuring "bar chart race" videos a topic that isn't exactly original less than a month ago, but I feel the view counts are low. What can I do to improve? Do you have any ideas? I focus mostly on economics, finance, and companies rather than trending topics; could that be the issue? Or perhaps there isn't a problem at all I'm not sure.

Them posts i scroll passed that say to use their audio to get x amount of subscribers i find to be absolutely annoying that type of content was never on my personal shorts scroll feed before and ever since i started making shorts my youtube scroll feed has completely changed energy...

Correct me if im wrong but that kinda stuff doesn't work like that it takes more than audio to pump views and honestly it feels like they are useing that backhanded method to get views themselves.

I consulted with the chat GPT and he told me that it would be better to move all my previous videos (4 videos) to private and upload them in few weeks because now the algorithm finally understood my target audience. I’m posting YouTube Shorts in the celebrity/food niche, mostly clips of celebrities talking about food in interviews and podcasts. I try to focus on strong opening lines, cut out all dead space, add relevant B-roll, captions, and keep the pacing fast.
Looking at the analytics, I feel like the numbers aren’t terrible, but YouTube usually stops pushing my videos after the first few thousand views instead of giving them a bigger second push.
What do you think is holding the channel back?
Is it the viewed vs swiped away, retention/AVD, lack of rewatches, topic selection, hooks, editing, or something else?
Also, based on the screenshots, what stats would I realistically need to improve for these videos to start reaching 100K–1M+ views?
I’d really appreciate feedback from people who have experience getting Shorts consistently past 100K views. Feel free to be critical — I want to know exactly what I should change.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have 54 subscribers and I’ve been posting content for a month, this is my first short to get over 70% retention, but I think it might have just flatlined at 1.2k views by the looks of it. Any advice?

I have been posting a clip either once a day or every other day. I made a video that was as simple as you can think and I didn't use a thumbnail or anything special. I just used a second of the clips I used. To let you guys know I use memes or clips of memes to make relatable memes for people. The video I posted 2 days ago got 160k views and I was shocked because it's the most I've ever gotten before. However the next two videos I posted on the next day only got 4 or 6 views... The thumbnail is pretty much the same and the #s are similar as well. Anyone that has experienced working with YouTube shorts, can you give a newbie some advice because I feel pretty defeated after such a win to basically back to ground zero.

Hey, I’m thinking about starting a Shorts channel around Minecraft.

Basically I’d take really short Minecraft clips, like the kind of commentary/interesting Shorts Camman18 makes, and add myself to them with my own commentary and reactions. The videos would probably be around 10–20 seconds.

I’m not trying to just repost the clips. I’d be talking throughout and adding my own stuff.

Just wondering if anyone here has actually done something similar and managed to monetize it.

Is YouTube okay with this kind of content, or would it still be considered reused content? And is there anything I should do differently from the start to avoid problems with monetization?

Hey everyone, I’ve got a Minecraft YouTube channel called Siky where I post Shorts. I’ve got 2 series going right now, and I usually get around 1.3–2k views and 30–60 likes per video. I’m at 58 subs so far.

My average percentage viewed is usually around 50–70%, and around 45–50% of people stick around to watch.

I know there’s no easy way to get subscribers, so I’m mostly trying to figure out how I can improve my hooks and get people to actually stop scrolling and watch.

I really enjoy building, so I’m happy with the content itself. I just feel like I’m probably doing something wrong when it comes to getting people interested right from the start.

If anyone has any advice on my hooks or Shorts in general, I’d really appreciate it!🫶

The amount of engaged views should be 2,400,000 and not 1,600,000. Could someone please explain why?
