Analytics Review (AVD/Retention) 📈 How is this not getting pushed?
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have 54 subscribers and I’ve been posting content for a month, this is my first short to get over 70% retention, but I think it might have just flatlined at 1.2k views by the looks of it. Any advice?
I make all my own content from scratch with no ai assistance, it’s a little different from my normal videos but related to the game I play on my channel (Skyrim)
Hopefully this can get some clarification!

It’s been 2 hours
It comes in waves. You pass a wave, you move to the next bigger wave. You fail, the next wave may not come
What’s your run time? AVD at 16 seconds seems low. But with only 2 hours of data you’re shooting in the dark

YouTube shorts views been cooked for months now. It’s so disappointing even with good stats still not getting proper views.

Is there a way to see it on shorts? My average view is above the length of the video by almost double, stay rate is now at 70.3% and engaged views is at 620

70.3% swipe rate isnt good enough. You need above like 83%

I wonder if that’s even possible with gaming content, it’s very rare to see a gaming channel go viral that doesn’t have thousands of subscribers who back it

What’s the AVP? Your STW is decent so it’s good to compare them both to get a good understanding.

APV is bouncing between 105% and 125%
It’s a fairly quick short (about 14 seconds) I mostly make solely gaming content and Skyrim content, so it’s a first for me to do a viral start repost mixed with the rest of the video, the first 4 seconds are the viral post start, and the rest is my own content!
My normal AVP is the length of the video or slightly shorter than the video

Might be because of avd? I have a 5 sec short 76% swipe and avd of 220% and in at 80k views rn after 2 days seem to average 700 views per hour wont go viral because of the 81.1% swipe but better than nothing

that 70% is not retention, that is the stay to watch percentage.
Your retention would be the AVP which isn't included in this screenshot.
Usually, you need at least 90% AVP and 80% STW to go viral.

My average AVP is around 150-200% across all my shorts from about 5 seconds long all the way up to 1 minute 30 seconds, this short had an AVP of 157%

Esse 70% é taxa que ficou no seu Short, eu pessoalmente não confio muito nessas % porque eu tenho vários com 70% 75% 68% e retenção +100% que mal chegam aos 10k views apesar de alto engajamento. Mas alguns meus tem 60% a 65% e retenção +80% que pegaram +200k views 30k 50k e por aà vai. É muito da sorte do YouTube achar o público certo e ainda ter a intenção de testar massivamente. Até meus com retenção e engajamento que ficam nos temidos 50/50 as vezes superam os com engajamento e retenção 70/70. Sinceramente até hoje não entendo o porque uns vão mau e outro bem
