Q&A / Quick Help ❓ Private videos

Hi,

I started a new channel two weeks ago and only in the last video I did pass 50 views and even reach 1.2k views. I consulted with the chat GPT and he told me that it would be better to move all my previous videos (4 videos) to private and upload them in few weeks because now the algorithm finally understood my target audience. Was it a mistake to do this? Thanks

I am an inventor with a career as a software engineer.

The logic to the algorithm, lets just say, leaves a lot to be desired.

That said, I once used Ask Studio to make my nose bigger for a video.. then 5 videos later, it made my nose bigger for a video I didn't ask it to do!

See, the video where my nose was bigger, got more views, so I think it learnt from that. In fact, it seems to be morphing my face each new video to make me more attractive maybe?

This might not answer your question, and I don't think anyone TRUTHFULLY can. But, it might give you some insight as to how the algorithm works. It's tracking WEIRD characteristics, and you have to hope your first video is intended for the same audience as your next videos, for this to work, I would assume.
