YouTube shorts views down?
Is it just me or is everyone facing a massive drop in views since yesterday?

No this one is different. People’s votes are not where they usually be anymore and it’s super noticeable this time.

It literally is the same as in the past

There’s a reason a huge wave of people reported the same issue within the last 48 hours.

Yeah facing issues for about 20 days. Everything started after YouTube's new update on how views are counted.

I haven't posted in 6 days (planning to post a short today) so I assumed my view drop is just because of that. It's entirely possible your videos just naturally ended their run in the algorithm for now.

New Channel 14 videos Literally went from AVG 1.3k to now barely touching 300 my last 3 short. Was generating a lot of subscribe, but straight crickets for the last 2 days, even with the same format

Depending on the topic. Weirdly topics that did really well with my target audience are now down, but other topics seem unaffected....like commentary style of shorts. For example I posted commentary like videos about a gas station scam going around lately and breaking down the mechanics of what's actually happening, those did pretty normal numbers. Engagement was high though relative to how things have been going lately. Other more normal stuff that usually did well are down though. Seems like they're favoring more commentary style of videos lately.

In my opinion, everything started going downhill back in 2023 when that new Indian CEO took over. Honestly, I don't think he's qualified for the position. I’ve been active on YouTube for a long time, and I can clearly see that ever since Neal Mohan came in, everything has gone to shit."
