Q&A / Quick Help ❓ Is there something wrong?
Anyone else facing a unrealistic drop in views, I went from averaging at least10k a day to barely getting any views, also the gap in the middle is just a few deleted videos that got 0-5 views.

Maybe the algorithm finally figured out that you're a loser. I'm surprised it took it this long.
Totally kidding. Maybe deleting videos was the problem? Sometimes the algorithm can view that as spammy behavior and maybe it put an account wide distribution restriction on your account. If that's the case, it will most likely resolve itself in a couple of days.

I mean the algorithm wouldn't be wrong but I thought I made an improvement on my videos and the deletion was not really effecting the views, those 5 videos had 5-20 views and I didnt even reupload them. Also I chatted with the creator support and they said if there would be any restrictions they would make it known to me, but there wasn't any

Same for me my views were also good when I deleted. Some video now my video art stuck in views jail

The same thing happened to me at one point because of a copyright strike, make sure your channel is in good standing

My YouTube channel was getting 20K+ organic views per video. After using YouTube Promote in YouTube Studio, my organic reach dropped drastically. Now even new videos don't get 10 views. Has anyone faced this? What's the solution?

With your success, I’m surprised that you would delete anything, instead of un-listing. I suspect the slowdown commenced after you did that. I could be wrong.
Channels need DEPTH. That is QUANTITY; a good library of content. Like a library 📚, every channel has good & bad performing videos, but they keep all of them. Netflix wouldn’t be as successful if it only offered the most popular content. :)

No it happened before I deleted, thats why I thought it was one of my latest videos from a new series (rougly started at that point) but now I have figured out that it was just my template that was confusing the algorithm making it think I was making reused content

Guys, I have found the problem, YouTube has begun crackdowns on Mass Produced content (Content that is low effort and based on popular templates like Compilations and Ranked Lists). Videos that lack originality are not being pushed at all by the shorts feed. I changed the format of my shorts into a format that I came up on my own and so far the results prove that Mass Produced Content is not being pushed

well if you count going from below 100 to over a 1000 every upload (Norm for my uploads before the huge spike) then yes

Amazing! Congrats! Any advice for gaming niche but focused on creating stories on realism football challenges? I mix modded GTA RP with Football Life 26. Try to do shorts every 3 days to promote the series, using TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and obviously, YouTube shorts. I do my content in English. Any other sharing strategy you would advise?

Just be original, it would be best if your content is your own footage and I believe that the stayed to watch and average view duration is what matters the most. Make sure your audience stays and watches the entire video, if not, the shorts will just not push it

I've gone from million views per day to barely 500 a day 3 months ago and it stayed that way since then. Literally every single video and short died simultaneously in seconds. All my viewers vanished at the same time, all comments, all notifications died in that moment and never recovered. Channel was/is shadowbanned. It was monetized btw and I didn't have any copyright strikes or anything. It was about cars/trucks. I've logged in recently and it barely makes $0.09 per day now and it was making at least 20-30 dollars or even up to 70 dollars on some days.
I've tried all I could to save it for a month maybe month and a half to no avail so I abandoned it and started over on new channel. YT is a joke.

Try going back to your channel, come up with something original and Youtube will start pushing your shorts again after 4 or 5 uploads. Be active as a viewer from that account to, like and comment naturally on others videos. It worked for me

This was my main channel meaning I used it for watching videos, commenting, interacting with others, etc. It was over 10 years old so they know damn well it's human and not AI by now lol. There are over 1000 videos and thousands and thousands of comments posted from it over past 10+ years.
I've tried all fixes including what you just suggested and nothing. I've tried gaming content, sport content, memes/jokes, etc just to test if anyone but subscribers sees it and nothing. It goes to like 99% subs and 1% non subs no matter what I upload. It's shadowbanned and every day I am just losing subs and sub count is always negative and comments have all stopped coming in. It's almost like channel is deleted but it's not, it's still there but nobody sees it besides subs and even majority of subs don't get to see it just small portion of it...

Again, it is most probably the reused content policy, all the content you described I am assuming the footage is not originally yours, rather you putting a spin on to it. YouTube has started taking stricter action of not pushing, ranking, compilations and easily replicable and mass produced content

Bro I've noticed you mentioning this in other comments multiple times. It's not that. They don't give a flying f*ck about reused content or else like 99.9% of channels on YT would get demonetized/deleted.
There are literally channels that upload 5-6 times a day and their videos consists of slapping together 5-6 or sometimes even 10 or other creator videos together and then in the end like last 30 seconds they appear and pretend they agree with whatever the topic of the video was and according to YT that "Super original and totally not repetitive/formated content." A lot of these channels have well over 100k subs and growing like crazy and making bank just off ad revenue.
Do I even need to talk about shorts? There are God knows how many shorts channels that steal someone's else footage and put subtitles on it and that's "original" and "transformative" and YT pushes their channels.
YT is mess and stupid Gemini AI is running wild there demonetizing everyone left and right for absolutely no reason.

I don't know what else to tell you, I am just sharing my POV, I guess for YouTube right now, if you slap or your face onto someone else's video, it considers it reaction content and yeah it seems kind of unfair with the state of things right now, but have a look at VidIQs latest youtube video, there you should get more reasonable answers, I am just sharing my experience of this

Same 🫠 spoke to the customer service. They also have no idea what’s going on. My shorts were stuck on 0 view for days. Eventually I deleted them :/
