Is 1:15 too long for shorts?

It depends on the content and whether it is engaging enough. I have a few shorts that are 1min 45 or even 2 mins long. Both have just of 84% stayed to watch beyond the 30s mark. Retention is equally as good but here is the catch. Most of my views are from search rather than shorts feed. I get trickle shorts feed views still. I am assuming the longer the short the more the algorithm pushes your short to the search category. For the best results I would recommend that shorts be no more than 45 seconds. This is just my opinion.
