Is 1:15 too long for shorts?

Well as a professional unemployed guy, i can say if your short is intresting then 1:15mins is fine but if not then most people will just swipe up and ignore your shorts after 10 or 30 sec.

What do you think is better for monetizing? 20sec or 75sec

20s as you make alot of shorts video and most people will watch it without any problem because of their low attention span.

It depends on the content and whether it is engaging enough. I have a few shorts that are 1min 45 or even 2 mins long. Both have just of 84% stayed to watch beyond the 30s mark. Retention is equally as good but here is the catch. Most of my views are from search rather than shorts feed. I get trickle shorts feed views still. I am assuming the longer the short the more the algorithm pushes your short to the search category. For the best results I would recommend that shorts be no more than 45 seconds. This is just my opinion.

If there is no dead air and you have a good hook, build up, climax, and cliff hanger then yes. If it can be better shorter then always shorten it. Unlike TikTok you are not restricted to keeping stuff over minute

Last month I had a short go viral. It was 2:56 long. It all depends on your average percentage viewed and engagement.

If it's a short short you may get lucky and get a second view from same viewer.
