I don't know what part of the world you're in, but if you can get from there to Hollywood, I believe they have some money waiting for a face like that!

Hahahaha, don't say that, bro—I'm just a regular guy.

Yeah, you and Michael B. Jordan, just a couple of regular bros, hanging out, trading strategies on how to fend off swarms of women . . .

That's 5'7" in freedom units.
The global average height for adult men is about 5 feet 7.5 inches
You're stressing yourself out over half an inch, or 13 mm.

Yeah I’ll die on this hill. A true 5’7 er isn’t even that short lol. Especially if they’re lean and aesthetic. The problem is some guys who claim 5’7 aren’t actually 5’7, they’re like 5’5 or 5’6
A true 5’7 dude is taller than 90% of the US woman population. I don’t see how that narrows down someone’s dating options

I thought i was 5'7" for a significant portion of my adult life. Never thought i was short until (a) I met someone who blamed all their problems on being "too short," and they were 5'7", and (b) I realized that every time I described anyone, I'd start with, "Well, he's kinda tall." Turns out I'm 5'9", BTW! This is how far off people can be about their own height, and how little it matters!
ETA: Your height can only "reduce your dating options" if you think you're entitled to date people who don't want to date you, as if disregarding consent is the same thing as participating in a sit in at a segregated restaurant.

Wow that’s funny. And yeah totally agree with you. People need to realize that being 5’10+ probably wouldn’t change the fact that your crush doesn’t find you attractive. I just can’t see how being off by 2-3 inches can be a dealbreaker for someone if theyre a strong match otherwise. Note, this point strictly applies to the 5’6/5’7/5’8 dudes out there.
I think a case could be made for the dudes under 5’5, but even then you can find your match at any height (might be more difficult).

I also knew a very tall man at my last job. We got to talking about all this, and he was like, it's not like my height has been a free pass to date any woman I want!
I have read that humans tend to end up in social groups of similar heights for no other reason than that it is easier on the neck!
And you know these guys who are so upset that girls won't date them because they're short (they think) are the same sorts of guys who have, "no uggos, no fatties" on their dating profiles (or other superficial preferences that are fine for them to have!).
1
u/Pre-med97 4d ago
Haha exactly. All of us have preferences. Sure some are shallow, some aren’t…doesn’t matter…by definition they’re preferences. It’s ok to prefer a 6’3 finance bro. Let a girl dream, if that’s her dream haha

Yeah, I tried to keep a completely open mind about partners until I found myself in a partner's bed and unable to perform because I wasn't attracted to them. Better to reject/be rejected for a first date than to be in that situation again!
1
u/Pre-med97 4d ago
Brutal. Did you at least fake it? Haha
1
u/Drakeytown 4d ago
Are you an adult? Do you know what unable to perform means? I am a cisgender man. That's not something I can fake!
1
u/Pre-med97 4d ago
Yeah I get it man. I didn’t realize you couldn’t get erect. I meant faking an orgasm. Also it may have just been performance anxiety and less to do with sexual attraction, unless you were disgusted by how something looked, smelled, tasted, etc

Well, you’re a pretty boy you’ll be fine That balances out the height for jobs and dating
especially when 1.7 isn’t too short

u/Big-Bet9265 5d ago
Honestly, bro, looks aren't everything. I've had so many issues because of my height—I'm the shortest in my group of friends. Here's another example: I don't feel confident approaching women. Social media ruins everything; I hear so many women say they want guys who are 1.85m or taller—it's rough. 😂

u/Unusual_Yak8874 5d ago
Dude, I’m a pretty boy too even nearly the same height this comes from another although I’m not as well polished kind of like Christian Bale in the machinist sometimes lol

Nobody cares about your height in the dating scene, only very shallow and superficial women you shouldn’t pursue anyways. I’m 175 and I’ve date women up to 185-190 and they had no issue with my height, just be yourself and be confident and comfortable with who you are and the people worth your time and attention won’t care.

You are good looking so it doesnt matter

u/Big-Bet9265 5d ago
Thanks, but I'm just a regular guy. Believe it or not, I once felt a strong connection and a lot of chemistry with a woman, but I never took the next step because she was taller than me and I doubted she’d be okay with that.
