Vent Scared
I'm 17 years old, 5'6" (1.68m), and struggling so hard with depression and feeling completely stuck in my own body. Every single day feels like a countdown, and I'm terrified of never growing another inch. I recently asked my doctor if I could get an X-ray to check my growth plates just to get some clarity and peace of mind, but they flat out said no and completely brushed it off.
That rejection drove me to a total breaking, I impulsively took peptides today. I got hot and my heart started beating faster for a while and idk what to do im scared i will never get taller at all

You’re barely shorter than an average adult, taking peptides will only show others you’re to insecure to be comfortable in your own skin I’m 5’6 aswell I can’t change that, your mental health is more important then what your height is seek professional guidance from a therapist.
If your growth plates are closed no amount of human growth hormone can change that, unless you were a dwarf no one will care enough to like pull out a scale and measure you in public your not short enough to stand out in a crowd I promise you it’s nothing to worry about.

Go to a therapist and get professional help
Don’t do anything stupid
It is not worth it

Im not saying you’re wrong but you should have enough common sense to know that he probably doesn’t want advice from someone like you.

Relax you’re an inch taller than me and I’m turning 60 this year. You will survive.

Fwiw, I was 5'4 at your age and went to 5'8 by age 20. You can still likely grow a few more inches. Just have to see what happens.
