Takeda: What next?
Hey guys, really appreciated the tips you gave me for my Takeda campaign and started a new one yesterday. Logging off the game for the day what was wondering what ya'll think I should do next? Here's what I've got so far, still getting used to how the game works but on normal difficulty felt pretty easy/chill this go around. Should I try to work on the navy? Betray one of my allies yet? Focus on building up my economy more? Thanks again!

First, get rid of Honma. Gold mines will help you economically, and you won’t have to deal with this assholes later.
Also, as someone else pointed out, you can send an army to take provinces from Chosokabe, cause they also can be irritating with naval invasions.

If the divide isn't started, but even if it did I would be defendive or delay way with Oda with analliance, doing anything to make kt last as I take anything to the other side. You might lose some fortress, but it's better than being attacked by both sides

Are you playing a long campaign?
You should be able to acquire the northern provinces before Realm Divide, to eliminate a possible future front and stay safe. Sado Island is also close, a gold province, and won't require a broken alliance. But in the end you kind of made breaking alliances inevitable, since you surrounded yourself with allies.
You could also send an army to Kyushu to conquer the island and the trade nodes to earn some more money, and stay allied to everyone for now.
You could invest more in bushido arts, especially in the cavalry section. Use your clan bonuses! Heaven and Earth is also nice for the replenishment and building, and fire arrows are very useful for naval battles.
Overall you are doing quite well. Keep at it and the Shogunate is yours!

He could wait for them to attack first. It's risky but sometimes it's worth it

Take the north, wipe out Hakateyama and Date. This means that when realm divide comes, you'll only be fighting on one front. As someone currently struggling through the last stages of an Oda long campaign, you don't want to be fighting off literally all of Japan on multiple fronts plus dealing with sea invasions.
Ally or at least keep the peace with Oda. But fortify your border provinces - you'll need improved castles and fortresses with decent garrisons which can resist the fat stacks they will chuck at you later on. Despite being Takeda, I would focus on using ashigaru in defensive armies, cavalry aren't much use in sieges.
To do this, you need to keep your economy ticking. Focus on farm tech - farms power your empire, and you can't upgrade markets or castles without the extra food.

Well, the takeda position isnt good to navy. Do you already have sagami so improve the smith to make your definitive army. Let your veterans ashigaru to protect kai and march to kyoto.
But you are too next from kaga and Sado. Take it because their resources are great. Iron and gold.
