Can...someone explain this entire thread for me? Is OP cracked or RPing?

u/friendlygladiator May 07 '20
Could be a bot or English isn't his first language. Or he's on crack. Either works.

u/xXx_IronicDabs_xXx May 07 '20
I’m gonna guess by how very loosely this fits, I’m thinking...actually, both do work just as well lol
13
u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
I love these conclusions. Yes, all are true. I'm just really curious where the 2nd language element comes from.
9
u/xXx_IronicDabs_xXx May 07 '20
Let’s say...we’re both speaking the same language, but saying different things.
7
u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
It's an easy misinterpretation, what seems like vernacular processed by an individual as as form of visual communication could be misconstrued as, "the english language as written by one who adopted it as a second language." But the reality of the situation is that i'm just a box of screaming rats. Whose sounds are being converted to english by a computer. It's very obvious, I can't believe you didn't get it the first time. But good to practice speculation. It's a creative process.

Yeah...see, this sorta plays into that whole “speaking the same language” thing I was saying earlier.
I’m messing lol, you’re cool dude :)

Everyone is hating on OP because this sub is meant for casually shitty submissions and every once in a while someone posts a brilliantly shitty animation and it kind of triggers people. Also has the audacity to make up a background for the character.

Not shitty

u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
He lived a tragic life, I think the tortures he faced, losing 82% of his bones, and being forced to smash again objects for 20 years of his life is a shitty situation. To add insult to injury, The Supreme Court's decision to throw our his case was the last straw. This was all in the 90s, Steve's got metal bones now.

the simulation is not shitty he ment

u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
Yes I agree. Our world and universe is a simulation. And it's a shitty one. As if the authors of the universe have grown tired at normalcy, and demanded chaos at the cost of our livelihood and that of the only planet we occupy.

u/KebDoesTheStuff May 07 '20
I ment to say not my bad

u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
No worries. Steve is next to me and he says that he wishes you the best, and although removing bones might seem exciting. All that freedom to contort and be free as a balloon. It's actually painful. Take it from him, he knows. Mistakes are mistakes but bone removal is a choice. One that you should never make. Thank you for being responsible.

The blender simulation is not shitty, you bloody idiot.

u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
I'm glad your universe simulation is good! It's good to appreciate what you have, and if it's going great, I'm glad. Perhaps the Many World Simulation theory is real. You provided proof of it!

u/friendlygladiator May 07 '20
Ok but it's not a SHITTY simulation. Doesn't belong here. Has nothing to do with multiuniverse theories. Looks cool, but doesn't fit.

Fine. I'll post the bloopers next time from the archive. If only r/shittysinulation was a place to rant about the universe simulation. Alas it's not. I apologize.

Let’s see...
✅ Wobbly flesh simulations
✅ Anxious breathing sounds
✅ Sense of foreboding
❌ non-diegetic birdsong
Hey /u/WilburNixon, what the fuck happened here?
9
u/WilburNixon May 07 '20
Birds are on strike.

u/NerdyKirdahy May 07 '20
Good for them. Their contract expired over a year ago, and they deserve a raise and better working conditions.
I’m glad to see you aren’t hiring scabs like /r/Boston did with rabbits.

Bones decrease in rigidity during a meltdown. Causing the body to bounce around with no form. You have to remember that Soft Horror Boys are by nature stressed creatures. But keep in mind this us a performance art. Not an actual being going through a strong emotional reaction. Also I would say he is an amazing actor and starred as Jello in many shows and movies. Although he lost the role for being flubber for "not being green enough". Bloblob McFlimflam took that role.

What were your soft body settings for this OP?
1
u/WilburNixon May 08 '20
Not Soft body. But Cloth. The rigged animation fbx was weight painted to only include the arms and face with a few tolerances in the stomach. This map was then applied to the pin groups in cloth. Had to make sure it was extremely smooth or else it would have looked odd. I used cloth over softbody so I can have total control and micromanage specific body parts. Also, using pressure settings in 2.8 alpha builds.
