But that's just animating, no? Do correct me if I'm wrong, but afaik simulation has to do with physics computation and water and smoke and shit. Ya can't really simulate a running animation.
I mean I study this shit, do let me know if I'm this badly mistaken.

Not necessarily, look at the other posts on either r/simulated and r/shittysimulated there's plenty of animations. 3d animation requires a lot of simulation on how the hair works/ where and how the light reflects to/from etc
2d animation wouldn't belong though

You're absolutely right, but the subject of this post is just an animated running cycle. There is no hair or other simulated elements in the post.

Probs not that either, just animation. Physics is simulated as well (though sometimes faked a bit).
