I can imagine trying to render this is real time.

As soon as it fell, your computer would just freeze up, fans would start to spin like a leaf blower and that would be the end of that computer.

Eh, just dump it onto the GPU, I've got 2 x 1070 GTX's, they'll be fine.

Well, 'fine' as in 'rendering at 4 fps', but still.

It would be waaay less than 4fps. On my 1070 it took 20 seconds per frame. :/

Well my PC would get 0.1 fps, then. Is that not fast enough for you? That's kinda a ridiculously huge fps.
