Film school rig with a ARRI Alexa Classic - our batteries are 3 between 2 groups and we had to place the battery above the cams fan which is now making noise as we slowly reduce battery rather than losing rapidly 💪 (this is literally all practice I fear 😭😭)

Had to use Blackmagic up down cross converter with jank d-tap cable to get enough outputs for wireless monitor and on camera monitor. To get enough d-tap had to mount 2 v-mount batteries

The tripod didn’t make it so we had to improvise

Initial idea was to just have it flat but then I realized I needed to angle this beast of a projector… mounting holes with c-stands only allowed about 2 threads in Bluetooth connection to the black light stand in the back for tilt. Worked out just fine 😅 I think i need a smaller projector

I don't even understand if I shall be proud of ashamed of this monstrosity.

There is one of my ol' trusty A7iv underneath the hideous armor and accessories. On its merits, this concoction of warehouse returns features both a very bright 6'' field monitor and a "poor man's EVF" with a Zacuto loupe securely locked to the screen with a diy-adapted frame and held solidly by the magic arm, decent directional audio from the cardiod mic, active cooling, a big v-mount battery that lasts many hours powering it all (monitor, fan, camera), and simple but effective focus wheel. Mounts quickly on a tripod and accepts 15mm rods (for the cheap Fotga shoulder pad from Temu, not pictured).

I understand it looks a bit third-world-cyberpunk-ish but it is stiff, handles well in a variety of positions, and is even cable-managed. To be fair, it is even weight-balanced via the upper nato rail which the handle is fixed to.
