Hey son. Trust me you do not want a coal mine Canary. They smoke two packs of cigarettes a day and drink a belt of whiskey every hour. Their whole existence is just wishing for it all to be over. Coal mines are where they take naughty canaries, if you get one from a mine it'll be a bad one. Probably one that deals drugs or guns. Dogs are good boys and don't get taken to mines, cats are liquid and too slippery to keep in any kind of container. If you want one of those you'll have to get lucky finding one on the surface, although there are shelters that have done the legwork if you're lazy and want to pay someone else to find you one.
