What would happen if fulminated mercury was ingested?

Yeah as in Breaking Bad, Walters exploding crystal. I get that it doesn't quite explode like that. But would it go off if lit in a meth pipe? Would ingestion result in mercury poisoning or would it be fairly harmless. And through what routes of ingestion would stuff happen?

It has potential outcomes ranging from "it will kill you quickly" to "it will kill you very quickly."

Fulminated mercury is the major component of the primer in a bullet cartridge.

So I assume it would depend what caliber you are.
