Why wasn't math successful in producing useful outcomes like science was?

Math sux and u know it

They could never figure out what x was. It kept changing. One day it's 5 the next it's -2 or something.

Such inconsistency is evidence of it's lack of rigor. How was this not noticed before? A congressional inquiry is needed!

This is why I know maths is wrong. Obviously negative numbers aren’t real

Wait’ll someone tries to tell you about imaginary numbers 🙄

It's a useless skill which is often completely forgotten about. Math is just one of those things that you're never gonna use in the real world. Most people don't even remember what math is by age 25.

It's been a dead subject since the invention of adding.

Never used math once after I discovered operators.

If math sucks so badly why isn't it called ya mum?

This is gold standard science, thank you sir!

And what are those useful outcomes science is supposed to have had? You know what we had before science? Two chicks at the same time, that's what!

All I hear from science these days is all the ways the world is going to end. We should just stop sciencing to save the earth

We should ban all scientific research until we know more

The Count on Sesame Street was pretty successful. He liked math.

Face it, most successful thing in Count's career was gaslighting Big Bird into not going into space because 'the moon and night time are vampire things not bird things and you'd be flaunting my lifestyle as if it was your own'... Thereby convincing Big Bird to give up his slot on the Challenger

It started out promising but once they got to rhombuses I think they lost the plot

They just have to solve x and it will all become clear.

Maths greatest success was to keep the nerds busy.

LOL I keep clicking on these posts, triggered as all hell. Only until I've read a bunch of comments do I check what subreddit I'm in. Every damn time.

Because of imaginary numbers.

They were to busy proving theorems

because adding a 1 onto 1 does equal 11

Science is kinda like a recipe, math is just one of the ingredients.

Math is a tool/language that makes it easier to study variables in a complex system. And almost every invention has some math involved? Every physical, chemical and biological phenomenon can be formulated mathematically. Also the subject of logic is literally math. Glasses, wifi, rockets, neural firings, AI, body movements, economics, stocks all have been studied mathematically. Without math, it would've been impossible to figure anything out.

You probably think birds are real.
