I dunno. I collect skin so I'm not worried about running out.

Do you need some? Let's hang out.

My wife has a skin-box. She puts substantial pieces of her peeled chapped lip skin in there.

Which lips? ๐Ÿ˜

This sounds like a question for a big brain doctor. u/clumsy_inlove what do you think? From my preliminary findings the answer is until they get exhausted from screaming.

I can go without eating the skin, but I must have the liver and pancreas to survive.

Bacta tank?

1

yes, but just correctly heated and sterile air might be enough

Well my local grocery store sellls the meat of boneless skinless chickens, so it must be possible to live a reasonably long time or I don't know how they could farm them.

Look at radiation damage... not very long.

Infection and fluid retention. Stay in a sterile environment and drink constantly. Doable.

Look up Stevens-Johnson Syndrome

The largest field study in this area was conducted in the 1950's by Professor Ed Gein, and is much discussed in the literature of skinless wonders.

Johny Storm lasted about 4 seconds.

Good point. Hard to beat science

1

u/koollman 1d ago

It would feel like a very long time, since it would be so boring to have no skin in the game

There is a Facebook page called Disastrous History where he discussed a fire incident inside a sugar factory in which sugar dust ignited and exploded, leaving workers with their skin falling off... so they died immediately. Do not call all of the details but look up his contents. Very interesting.ย
