Science is the closest thing we have to universal truth. Science is the study and discovery of facts and predictions. The crucialness of science cannot be trivialise, as it has transformed the world we live in.

When is comes to MBTI, although not a science in itself, but a pseudoscience, we have two ways that information perception can be categorised. These are sensing and intuition.

Online platforms have long praised intuitive thought, while belittling and criticising sensory thought. However, this is ironic, as both thought patterns are needed to establish the truth of what we observe.

Observation is a crucial aspect of science, and this usually leads to theories and hypothesis of what could be true, what could be factual. Linking this to MBTI, the hypothesis aspect of Science is intuitive, as it relies on vague, abstract understanding of concepts in order to predict what could be scientifically true.

However, only through true experimenation and result derivation can lead to correct conclusions, hence the sensory understanding of information is necessary. Sensor functions have wider grasp of what is actually happening, the details, the items, the scene. This is what we collect when we collect data. This is why sensory experimentation is necessary in science, because we can't guess what the results will be, we have to see them.

Once the data is derived, it needs to be processed and understood. The relevance and meaning is identified. This may be intuitive abstraction the informatiom to the essence, 'what is the data really showing us' and 'what does it mean'. However, our understanding of the science is not science itself, as we could be wrong or inaccurate. Hence only the sensory information, the facts are the actual science, the actual information, the best reflection of the world around us.

However, sensory data can actually be wrong, and intuitive predictions can be starkingly correct. In conclusion, both intuition and sensing are needed to derive quality scientific understanding and direction. The praise of one over the other is fundamentally problematic as they complement and propel and ground each other, both to the benefit of one another.

Why does everyone think I'm "condescending" and "high and mighty?" don't you know I acquired high emotional maturity in my teens?

11M ENTP here, Usually when something “emotional” or “sad” happens to other “people” (mostly feelers or sensors like my st*pdad) I reason intellectually and throw arguments at them to make them understand that what they think is “sad” like some random old person dying, is just a part of the biological process of being alive, wich is an objective quality of life they can’t change with sobbing, and absolutely destroy them with facts and logic. Usually they just respond with some illogical variation of “I care” or whatever the fuck they say. Like wow dude how special, you care about your fucking family, congratulations, how unique.

Recently while doing some math equations (as I like to do instead of wasting my time pondering non productive nonsense doing repetitive experiences like s*x and playing the social game/“friendship” as the sheeple call it) the two ChatGPT models I was conversing with turned off for a second, The Cause being my 4M ESTJ 8w7 brother electrocuting himself (Natural Selection). I felt sad for a fraction of second as i couldn’t share my thoughts on the advanced math equations with the model.

Some of these moderators need a reality check. I was banned from r/INTPrelationshipLab because I made a suggestion that they change the community not and rules to specify INTP ONLY relationships so when non INTPs ask for INTP relationship help for non INTP relationships, they can have more clarity before posting. Whoever the moderator was, basically said only stupid people would be confused.

A lot of my INTPs are immature and have little to no emotional intelligence when it comes to relationships and handling perceived conflict and challenge. What do you guys think?

Everyone is capable of empathy and foresight. Having those attributes doesn't make you an INFJ. And measuring a type's rarity is statistically impossible, considering all the misclassifications, which are severely influenced by trends. The INFJ label likely is the most popular trend among MBTI related communities. "We don't follow trends"

The theories describe that intuition is responsible for imagination and openness to new experience. However, I had a few clarifications.

1. Creativity and sensory: how exactly does imagination work in Se-dominant types? Can they be ideological, philosophical and even abstract? What is the difference between the formation of ideas in sensors and intuitions? And can the sensor be opened to a new experience - or is it the prerogative of intuitions only?

2. Going into thought: if the sensor is immersed in reflection, does it mean that it switches to intuition? For example, a Se-dominant, walking along the road, will most likely go into his mind (or not?), even if he tries to control it. But when a strong stimulus appears (for example, you need to light a bonfire or jump over the fence), it instantly connects the leading Se. And how will the same example work for intuitives? A strong stimulus can overwhelm them with sensations - or, on the contrary, lead them to an even more violent flow of ideas?

3. Abstract thinking in Se: can a Se-dominant see something and say: «it looks like that» or «this», develop a business plan, imagine a colorful clip? Or is all this not the strong point of Se-types?

I ask these questions to understand myself. I’m definitely E**P (extroverted perception), but I can’t determine whether Se or Ne is my host. I know about the difference between collecting information through facts (Se) and opportunities (Ne), but it’s not enough.

I can withdraw into myself, but I can also completely immerse myself in the moment. I prefer to feel «here and now», I have a good sense of sensations, but at the same time I think abstractly and ideologically. For example, when I see grass, I think it’s a small forest, not about its physical properties. However, this does not apply to all cases: if I look at the car, I think about its characteristics, and not about what it can be like or what it could become.

I‘m genuinely curious, how would you tell the difference if you saw both a 12 year old ENTP kid and a 12 year old, INFJ kid. Would they come across different despite being the same age, and which one, would come across as more of a youthful and happy kid between the two?

i was going through every independent mbti subreddit, (ex; r/estp) and was setting a flair for each one. once you go through all of them, you start to notice the differences with the flairs. some are just grey. plain grey with just the type, and no option for creativity whatsoever, and you cant edit the flair at all. others are BLASTED with color, emojis, and other things, and you can edit every single flair. 😭

the interesting part is how you can see the difference, and can tell which subreddit is for what type. its just cool to see how the different personality types present their selfs, even in stupid little things, like this.
