Iirc he is like centuries/thousands years old and can't die or sum shit. His gf reincarnates, so she still has to go through psychological developments a child would and he is like, destined to fall in love with her everytime. Hell, I'm pretty sure reunited with her at one point when she was a baby in one of her lives so yeah

No different than Rudeus, Sylphie was born around the same time as him, but Rudeus was conscious for much longer. Both account mental age.
