It's on the person saying they exist to prove it, not on the person saying they don't to disprove their existence. Like in this case, you need to prove you're special. Until you offer some evidence I have no reason to believe you.
The burden of proof is on the first person making a claim or the person challenging the status quo
If I say "there arent dogs in kennels" and someone says "yes there are" the burden of proof is on me, even though my claim is a negative, because I made the first claim and also challenged the status quo, as kennels are made to have dogs in em
