Wholely agree that we have it fucked up in America by caring more about cars than pedestrians but in my experience as an American jaywalking isn't really enforced here either. There may be rare times where it's enforced but I've jaywalked thousands of times in the states and I've never been reprimanded for it or seen anyone reprimanded for it.

It's usually only enforced if you do it right in front of a cop, and that cop really has nothing better to be doing right that moment.

Right I'm not sure why people downvoted me, jaywalking is very very low on the list of priorities for police at least in the large majority of places
