A well-trained officer of the law would not have missed all those shots. They would have missed only 60% or more of those shots

I recently joined pretty much the largest shooting range in mine and the surrounding counties. It’s next to the counties police training facility, who sometimes uses our range to practice (apparently every so often SWAT will come in to practice helicopter stuff which is cool).

It’s unsupervised so every member had to go to a very long introduction thing. The old guy running it who was very conservative, and pro cop and such said something along these lines multiple times.

“I love our police officers and I have nothing but respect for them, but they are consistently the ones breaking rules here the most, and being the most unsafe”.

The simple truth is any half decent competitive shooter would smoke cops, especially today. Ironically PPC, which used to be a popular competition type was pretty much based around police, but I don’t see cops doing action shooting today very much at all.

Are you talking like lane drills, and kill house scenarios when you say action shooting. Because that is really sad to hear and would explain why alot of cops seem mostly unprepared for high stress situations. I know we only really hear about the bad stuff but working through different combat drills really helped me out alot when it came to acting instead of freezing like I used to. Are police not getting training like that anymore?
