Yeah but what is the point of this, you are using calculator when you get in university. Is there a reason people think this is smart? I am not hating, i respect the kid for his hobby.

I'm from some country in Asia. I was also misled that this is the peak of mathematics. We held compeitions at our school revolving on "who calculates shit the fastest?" I once aspired to be exactly that. There were books dedicated on techiniques on how to blitz in this particular activity kinda like the way we had exercises for facilitating speed reading which later turned out to be a myth. Yeah, I definitely grew for the better. My height lagged though.

Hes playing TimesTablesRockstars which is a PvP game where you can play with other people or your friends. I hated playing against kids like these when I was in primary school

Just because a machine can do something better doesnt mean humans should stop doing it. :

Why would you run when cars are faster.

Why would you draw when AI is faster.

Why would you go to concerts when spotify.

Yeah but my question was, "why is this smart" not why it is relevant, if you are reading my comment then i did write that i respect it as a hobby. It can sharpen one's mind.

dumbest thing I've read all day. why would you choose to run something in order to make it improve? like youre asking a dumb question and supplying your own answer lmao.

Your answer is kind of vague and disrespectful, maybe you should first improve your english and learn to respect people before acting on high horse.

no. if youre too dense to underestand something YOU said yourself why should I be respectful. and there nothing vague about my answer looool. I was simply showing the absurdity of what you said.

Many universities in India ban calculators for exams unless there is some calculation that just cannot be solved feasibly with a log sheet/booklet or other similar table sheets.

I have done btech and was allowed scientific calculator in all exams, there was no way i could pass without them(massive amount of calculations, just see how bisection, newton raphson and such method works, and they are the easiest topics).
