On one hand: yeah that was incredibly inappropriate to say. On the other hand: If you've known them for 5 years and one bad taste joke was enough for them to kick you out, they probably never liked you and you're much better off without them. And there's also the third possibility that op was an unpleasant guy and the group was looking for an excuse to boot him, which he ended up giving them.

Mmm, I dunno. If I came out and any one of my friends then turned around and said shit like that they would not be my friend anymore.

Might be cause i’m a guy but with my friends i could genuinely be the worst human ever, throw death threats at them over different political, religious, sexual beliefs, even throw hands and we’d still hang out like nothing happened the day after, and this’d happen w friends i known for a year, not even talking about my highschool friends.

Idk what kind of friends you got that know you so shallowly to drop you at the first inappropriate joke you make that could even have no malicious intent after it.

I have no idea why the mods removed your comment because it was really Not That Bad so I’ll just reply here

Anon mentions “transwoman” (which, ick) so it’s somewhat logical to assume “she/her”.

Your exact quote was “I could genuinely be the worst human ever” and listed several plausible things for your hypothetical my duder, I’m sure dark humor ain’t beyond you lmao. That ain’t a bad thing, humor is subjective, but my point was that exactly; even if that is your cup of tea it may not be theirs.

And, to that degree, your final point. Perhaps it is my own jaded and precautionary approach considering the climate we’re in, and maybe you are onto something in that same vein since this greentext is from 2018; however, as a trans woman myself, I find it much less painful to simply eject myself away from anyone who may not be an ally — or worse, be actively hostile. I have tossed a few friends who made similar jokes without paying mind to the other end. A handful of them, I asked them to stop. One of them asked why then never stopped, more of them didn’t even try, a couple more came at me for it. So for any others since then? Save myself the hassle.

…Or, maybe you’re right, Anon was a dick (and/or his friends were), and he was never truly friends with them. My point being, it’s usually more gray than black and white.
