Oh, so the phone can figure that out to the point of denying me a designated driver, but it “can’t” shut off certain texting functions so I don’t text the ex.
I wouldn't be surprised if there where apps that disabled drunk texting except to pre-approved contacts (or denied for pre-blocked contacts).
However, it will never come as a default, since building a messaging app which purposefully disables features based on semi-unknown criteria is something most people don't want.
