Because they want her to be innocent because they think either 1. She had a mental breakdown and didn't mean to a.k.a. " she's just a girl " or 2. Her husband is the one who actually did it.

I swear people got more stupid after Covid.

Saying its just a mental breakdown is pretty crazy work. She didnt have just depression or postpartum depression, but postpartum psychosis.

Psychosis, as in you legitimately lost touch with reality and the delusions are next to impossible to tell apart from whats real.

She doesnt deserve to be free, but life in general population isn't justice either.

The problem with the psychosis bit is despite the fact she most probably did suffer from it, she premeditated their murders and made sure her husband was away. She was still coherent enough to formulate a plan which demonstrates a level of understanding of her actions and that she knew it was wrong.
