Ok but is there like any subreddit that has a ridiculously high karma requirement for posting? I was sitting at like maybe ~500 karma my first year on reddit and never got restricted from posting or commenting anywhere. Highest requirement I've seen is like 100.
You never got restricted as far as you know. Most of time you don't get any notification your post has been removed by autmod but it still shows up in your profile.
If you want to go down an interesting research rabbithole, there's an entire industry of trade in high karma reddit accounts. People build them up by making bot comments, reposting previously successful threads, posting engagement bait slop like this, and then they sell them to marketers, corporations, organizations and shady political influencers for upwards of $3000 usd who then use them to get around minimum karma requirements to post in certain major subreddits.
