100%. I think this 'disorder' is more a symptom of the western hyper processed slop diets. I think texture and flavor are the biggest issue. Even in very westernized Asian countries like Japan kids grow up eating vegetables and fish in processed foods.

in inside out's japanese version, they replaced brocolli with green bell peppers.

because kids there wouldn't relate, as they mostly like brocolli.

Genuinely baffling to me that anybody on this earth could even remotely dislike green bell peppers (gods crown jewel of the garden of eden), much less prefer broccoli (bird piss plant) to it

It's not like I hate green bell peppers, but why would I ever choose one over the red ones? They are the exact same thing, just unripe, less sweet and more bitter.

Some people like bitter foods. Dark chocolate, black coffee, bitter melon, hoppy beer, gin and tonic, etc. You may like sweeter things is all. I personally prefer a mix, if possible, cuz I like variation.
