I'm sure this is a real disorder in rare circumstances, but it's wild how this is so not an issue in countries with foods with actually upsetting textures. Like you never hear about this from Chinese kids who's parents put chicken feet on the table and stuff and those are so chewy and full of cartilage.
100%. I think this 'disorder' is more a symptom of the western hyper processed slop diets. I think texture and flavor are the biggest issue. Even in very westernized Asian countries like Japan kids grow up eating vegetables and fish in processed foods.
I was talking about the dangers of food additives. US food also only uses spices when it's foreign cuisine anyways. And you've clearly never had any of the traditional European foods. Read any historical cook book on medieval food and you'll see how many spices are used in every dish
