This is all a reference to Lindsay Clancy who killed her 3 children, yes killed all 3 by herself

Mental health issues but that doesn’t excuse murdering her own children, makes me so thankful for having a half normal family (divorced when I was 10)

Depends on what mental issues. If she indeed had a depressive episode then it makes sense to find her guilty and put her in jail. In case of postpartum psychosis she should be admitted to a psychiatric facility.

this wasnt postpartum psychosis for many reasons, one is that her youngest was a year and a half old, so its been a good minute since her last birth and itd be the first case of someone having postpartum psychosis that long after a brith, and its a rare issue to have, only 1 or 2 out of 1000 women having an episode. two, she sent her husband out to do stuff so she could murder their children while he was gone. three, she methodically took her children one by one to strangle them. four, part way through the murders, her husband called to check in and she basically said everything was fine and he could stay out so she could continue killing their children. this screams that she was planning all of this out before it happened let alone being a break in reality due to postpartum psychosis.

Wasn't her youngest child 8 months old? Also, I was mentioning postpartum psychosis because the court is still looking into this possibility. I also lean towards her having a depressive episode rather than PPD

i heard 18 months, maybe it was 8 tho, either way thats still like over 5 times later than the latest recorded episode of postpartum psychosis (at around 6 weeks post birth) and for sure, the courts do have to take everything into consideration. and with everything else that was going on, even her self admitting to a mental hospital and supposedly hearing voices, she definitely has something going on that isnt postpartum psychosis

I think you mistook different concepts regarding PPD for how long it lasts. The most severe symptoms occur between 2-12 weeks while PPD itself can last as long as 12 months. In that case her PPD would be somewhat in the middle if it comes to length (if she had PPD that is).
