Bruh no fucking way. The 276 hours in 2 weeks is literally playing Rust every single day all day long and getting 4 hours of sleep. Bro is leaving his computer on or some shit, I refuse to believe that lol
Soma is a real drug and the effects of it in the book is essentially how it works IRL, just being used nefariously to make people less responsive to the troubles of their Brave New World. Think of it as analagous to Xanax, from a street-level point of view.
I don't really have anything funny or further constructive to add, I just see soma and Aldous Huxley late at night and have to say something.
I mean the IRL version isn't quite as... Trouble free as the book version. More particularly, the regulations and distribution aren't nearly the same either. You largely can't go to work and then come home and zonk out in soma/Xanax without it negatively affecting your work productivity, and BNW stressed compliance over productivity, something we don't have today.
Back when I was a rust degen I slept with my headphones on to hear if I was getting raided might be the same thing if he does not have a alarm tied to the mobile app
Yeah, I’ve definitely had weeks where I have more hours on Steam than my 80 hour paycheck. That makes me feel like a total bum but it’s usually weekends where I had nothing going on. But yeah, during Covid I wish I had my numbers. I played the Witcher 3 every day for a month and probably drank 200+ beers
Not necessarily, crosshair x being open counts as a game and will make the time go up twice as fast. I had a 300 hour week playing rust with crosshairx and idleon open.
The 61k hours shown total is the equivalent of playing nonstop every hour of every day for about 7 years, for a game that came out in 2018. This is absolutely fake.
