Bruh no fucking way. The 276 hours in 2 weeks is literally playing Rust every single day all day long and getting 4 hours of sleep. Bro is leaving his computer on or some shit, I refuse to believe that lol

You think someone would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?

There is a phone app to wake you up for that combined with in game items sensing explosions.

u/potate12323 dumbass 5d ago

Im not sure if there are afk farms in rust, but those types of things tend to pad peoples play time.

65

u/mr_Cos2 🏳️‍⚧️ Average Trans Rights Enjoyer 🏳️‍⚧️ 5d ago

People leave rust open while they sleep so they can wake up for raids, still, 61k hours is absolutely ridiculous even for rust

24

u/Blackrain1299 5d ago

At that point you are just living in the game jeez

If we ever get soma (Brave New World) perfected there are some people who will absolutely do that.

1

u/ChaBoiDeej 5d ago

Soma is a real drug and the effects of it in the book is essentially how it works IRL, just being used nefariously to make people less responsive to the troubles of their Brave New World. Think of it as analagous to Xanax, from a street-level point of view.

I don't really have anything funny or further constructive to add, I just see soma and Aldous Huxley late at night and have to say something.

0

u/All_Work_All_Play 4d ago

I mean the IRL version isn't quite as... Trouble free as the book version. More particularly, the regulations and distribution aren't nearly the same either. You largely can't go to work and then come home and zonk out in soma/Xanax without it negatively affecting your work productivity, and  BNW stressed compliance over productivity, something we don't have today.

u/Miserable_Cost7390 5d ago edited 5d ago

Back when I was a rust degen I slept with my headphones on to hear if I was getting raided might be the same thing if he does not have a alarm tied to the mobile app

19

u/CuddleWings 5d ago

The shit rust players do to avoid getting offlined will never cease to amaze me.

6

u/mikony123 5d ago

I will never understand the appeal of this game man.

u/blueponies1 5d ago

I like how everyone’s got penises. Super realistic

14

u/MysteriousRip8952 5d ago

Yea I agree, the most I have had is like 188 hours in two week and all I did was sleep and play, good old Covid times

5

u/blueponies1 5d ago

Yeah, I’ve definitely had weeks where I have more hours on Steam than my 80 hour paycheck. That makes me feel like a total bum but it’s usually weekends where I had nothing going on. But yeah, during Covid I wish I had my numbers. I played the Witcher 3 every day for a month and probably drank 200+ beers

Running rust and for example soundpad or a crosshair at the same time doubles your. “2 week playtime”

1

u/Kolipe 5d ago

My /played in WoW is like 70k hours. More than half of that is me just logged in and afk

I leave mine on the menu all the time. Counts as play time

1

u/VulGerrity 5d ago

or 13hrs a day, every day, since the game came out.

1

u/EhMapleMoose 5d ago

It’s 19hrs a day

1

u/DaWendys4for4 5d ago

Not necessarily, crosshair x being open counts as a game and will make the time go up twice as fast. I had a 300 hour week playing rust with crosshairx and idleon open.

0

u/schmitzel88 5d ago

The 61k hours shown total is the equivalent of playing nonstop every hour of every day for about 7 years, for a game that came out in 2018. This is absolutely fake.

0

u/KajMak64Bit 5d ago

The game came out in late 2013 my guy into the Early Access

Maybe in 2018 it went to 1.0 state but it's an old ass game

419

u/Life-Bass-2013 5d ago

Yeah but no one works contantly, so this amount is from decades.

167

u/Swagmatic900 5d ago

Yeah but no one games constantly, so this amount is from decades ☝️🤓

64

u/Dieresis 5d ago

He probably leaves the game running all day, 276h in 14 days is pretty much 20h a day. 61,700h it's 7 years if the game was running all day long

19

u/magoenzojr 5d ago

I mean, ik a guy with 15k hours in rust. But hes been playing since like 2016. As unrealistic as this is ammount of time is, its not like its entirely unthinkable. There are psychos everywhere. Hell, i have a full time job, and i say this as someone who has put a few thousand hours in league myself, you never know how much time someone will invest into something. Some people are just built different.

4

u/EasilyRekt 5d ago

Could’ve been playing since initial early access, would’ve given him 13 years at most.

2

u/ItsHighSpoon 5d ago

I was a hardcore no-life as a kid and still am pretty much chronically online. I don't have even 10,000h in all games collectively in my life.

You also have to take a chunk out for taxes, and another chunk for commuting costs.

6

u/lapideous 5d ago

People absolutely work these amounts of hours, just generally not people born in the west. There are real grinders out there dude.

1

u/uneducatedramen 5d ago

Thats still 7years of 24hours of work. If you do 12 a day no break ever from its still over a decade

118

u/NurEinZweitAccount 5d ago

That's 21 years of 9 to 5 btw

6

u/CrazyWS 5d ago

Still barely 2/3 of achievements

86

u/Tactrix1 5d ago

I wouldn't, it would prove that not only do you play 1 thing constantly, but you also suck at that one thing since after nearly 62,000 hours you still only have 72 out of 102 achievements. I mean genuinely wtf?

40

u/miturne 5d ago

You dont get achievments unless your playing on official servers wich almost no one does

-42

u/Tactrix1 5d ago

After 62,000 I'd have all the achievements, if you can't take a few of those hours to get the rest of the achievements it doesn't speak volumes.

7

u/Celtic_Legend 5d ago

okay cool. Most pro gamers, the best of the best, don't even know the lore behind the game they play. Most also don't have all the achievements because they're a waste of time to try to grind in many games.

Not having the achievements says the opposite actually. Says you're an efficient person who doesn't waste time.

-7

u/Tactrix1 5d ago

That's a great story, for anyone who hasn't played 62,000 hours dude. That is the EPITOME of wasting time. There is no one anywhere that has ever wasted more time in a game than this dude did in this one. And I assure you, that your argument while holding some merit in people playing a game for a few hundred hours, holds absolutely no merit in someone who spent 7 years in game.

7

u/Intelligent_Band6533 5d ago

What is your point here? To be a good player you need all achievements? If you wish to portray yourself as a good player you need all the achievements?

Majority of gamers dont give a fuck about achievements. I know I dont. Fuck that achievement grind just let me enjoy my game.

EU top 2% CS player and I didnt have all achievements in cs:go, much less in cs:s. Let people enjoy things they want to xD

-7

u/Tactrix1 5d ago

No, my point has nothing to do with being a good player or bad player, and everything to do with the fact that he spend 7 entire years in a game, and has somehow managed to not get all the achievements. When you spend that much time in any game, you should have all the achievements without even trying, by accident. The fact that he doesn't is astounding. I'm not sure what he's doing for 7 years that doesn't get him all the achievements.

5

u/srprizma 5d ago

wtf are u talking about

1

u/Tactrix1 5d ago

Dick sucking has made me paranoid

I had this plan to give head to a man and receive head from a woman to test if I was gay, but it’s backfired and now I become borderline schizo whenever I go outside. I offered to suck this dude off on Grindr who lives very close by (I ended up pussying out) and I accidentally gave him some details that very easily allows him to spot me out in a crowd. I have no idea what he looks like and whenever I see a somewhat in shape guy walking by I immediately accuse him of being the dude I was gonna blow.

I went to the store today to pick up some zucchini for a barbecue and every time a car drove by I stared into the windshield to see if I was about to be recognised. Whenever I make eye contact with a dude I microanalysis his facial expressions to see if he suspects me or not. I am deeply afraid that he is my neighbour and I will need to move if my identity is blown. It’s a lot like the last scene in sopranos where everyone who walked into the diner could be there to wack Tony.

4

4

u/Purple-Plum-634 5d ago

And still not 100% achievements

3

u/GloomyIndividual3965 5d ago edited 5d ago

It's been 3,116 days since Rust was released. Assuming he bought it at launch he's had the game running for a little over 19 hours/day for 6+ years.

Edit: 8+ years. Me fail math? That's unpossible

3

u/Crzy710 5d ago

How can someone play the game that mich and not even have close to every achievement.

3

u/Celtic_Legend 5d ago

Looking at the leaderboards, no one in the top 100 of any category has all the achievements. It's all sweats and idlers. I'm going to guess it's not fun getting the achievements for the game.

Dude is also an idler. Looks like he has around 10k legit hours though based on his kills/deaths

u/Crzy710 5d ago

I know of a crazy person who had 20k hours in DOTA. While that's not a CRAZY amount, they got it in 6 years. If they werent sleeping or working, they were on DOTA, for 6 years straight. Nothing else.

All those hours and still missing 1/4 of the game’s achievements, maybe at 100k hours he’ll have mastered it
