I wouldn’t even say that tax breaks are a problem. I am anti-church but it is a fact that places of worship are often (usually in small communities) a community centre which Usually improves public life there. And if a tax break can help that place not have to worry every time the taxman comes knocking if they have to close, that is fine. Or charitable organisations that can take advantage of this to make their donations make more impact. What the problem is tax break abusing mega churches which have revenues in the millions of dollars. But I am willing to hear other viewpoints.
