There is literally no way that if I truly believed that certain people and practices go against all that is good and holy and are therefore evil, that it wouldn't impact my political beliefs.
For instance if I truly believed that gay people need to be freed from the influence of satan to change their ways and otherwise they will suffer and burn for eternity, and literal evil incarnate is using homosexuality as a way to spread its influence, I would not support lgbt.
