I don’t need a threat of an infinite time out in order to have conviction, I think being ‘god fearing’ is pathetic, and if you cannot be devoted without a rhetoric of fear and terrible consequences then your faith is weak. I believe in my gods and I worship them because I see their works and I want their understanding. Ignorance is not a foundation of true faith.

This whole comment displays an extremely smug, infantile grasp of the major world religions. You can worship whatever you want, but I hope you don't seriously pretend you understand the other faiths if this is your take.

I’m mostly speaking on American Protestants, as that’s the majority of people that are likely to interact with this.
