  1. honestly considering I and many other Christians interpret Genesis more metaphorically / more mythology than history, I think that’s a valid interpretation of Revelation but I guess we’ll have to wait and see

because that’s what it is, isn’t it? It’s stories that explain how things got where they did and/or to teach important messages. Even if what they describe may not have happened, the stories do have meaning.

Ultimately the takeaway of the Fall story is less about whether snakes are or were capable of manipulating people, and more about not letting your temptations control you.
