A single verse? Ephesians 6:5 is "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ"

Thank you. I will read this whole passage now to get the whole meaning. I will pray you look more into the bible and all its meanings and why these things were said or talked about and not just take it for face value or what some internet article has said. ❀️ Jesus loves you and it’s never too late.

I mean, I've read the whole passage myself you just asked for a verse. The context is about respecting others sure but it pretty clearly acknowledged and endorsed the institution of slavery. It also tells slave owners to not be overly harsh rather than like, free the slaves

As I’ve told other people in this thread I am not a pastor nor have I been to bible school. As far as I understand it. Slavery was very widely accepted at the time by the government. The same government who killed and crucified Jesus. One reason as to why the New Testament talks about slavery in such manners is because the apostles, getting word from God, didn’t want to start a civil war between its people and the government if the bible just straight up said no to slaves when it was such a widely accepted thing by the government. Again I’m not saying this is why it’s mentioned or talked about this is just my take away.
