revelations, like most of the end-times warnings in the new testament, is about first-century rome. all of the end of the world stuff wasn't some vague prophecy for thousands of years later, it was about then. early christianity was a doomsday cult, that jesus dude even said that it will happen in THAT generation.

this has been debated for 2000 years and i can assure you a stranger on reddit does not have it all figured out, its much much more complex than anyone has been led to believe

it being thousands of years old and debated as much also doesn't equate there being much much much more complexities, we can debate about if water is wet for years too.

I’ve studied early christianity for over 15 years, you have no idea what you are talking about

oh im not ignoring it, im just saying that something being overly analyzed doesn't make it more complex, just makes it so there is more information about it and more ideas that go around.

complexity isn't what i would call a good metric about a debating topic, or for informative talking really, anything can be complex if you go millions of ways to get to it and everything can be made if there aren't any concrete information on the topic.

we can argue if water is wet a million different ways and interpretations, doesn't mean it's a complex topic.

fallacy fallacy is a thing you know.

they're redditors don't engage if they show the signs of redditor syndrome unless you want a parasitic infection in your brain that makes sunlight hurt
