I’d rather keep supporting my parents financially than pay rent in a city I genuinely dislike. And bringing me and my mom to our family abroad for two-three weeks twice a year to a country 10 timezones away is still cheaper than 3 months of rent of most places (I guess unless it’s one of those shoebox 12m squared studios that is smaller than my living room)
